well i have to say that after going for dinner with both these guys just a few hours before the show , they looked pretty tired and i was starting to think they wouldnt even be awake for their sets ..
i was sitting in the club waiting for the boys to show up and have to say , Chris looked better after getting some sleep back at the hotel , Rodi on the other hand looked like he had been sacked with a bag of potatoes ... i think it was about 30 minutes later Rodi was passed out on a couch behind the DJ Booth using my gf's jacket as a blanket hahahahahahahaha
Chris C pulled off a really great set considering his opening dj made it a little rough to get the crowd into it , then lucky me got to play right between Chris and Rodi , gotta admit i was shakin like i was having the fits but after the first mix i pulled it together and started having the time of my life .. built up the crowd with a fairly wide ranging set of house , trance , hard trance and hard house and then it was the Rodi Style show , for not what was the expected 1 hour slot ( 1 hour slots should be bannished , but thats for another topic ) , but after a no show by one of the other dj's Rodi's set was extended for another hour ... not only was this more of Rodi Banging it out hard house style , but we got to hear some of his more trancey productions and i gotta say i was well impressed .......
this was a great night , and i only wish the turn out in edmonton was as good as it was in calgary ( but the edmonton show had to compete against a large outdoor venue show , which contributed to the not as packed as usuall venue ...
would like to say thanx to Chris C for all the years and years of great tunes in the hard dance scene and im sure we'll all miss ya , but good luck in your new ventures of house....
Rodi was nice seeing ya again and hope to see ya soon
p.s. here is a pic for ya
